Two hours ago
It was the best day of my life
Leaving work early
To surprise my sweet wife
She’d been down a bit lately

The worst day of my life
Hanging in the garage
I found my wife
When I cut her down
She wasn’t even cold
So twenty minutes ago
She was still growing old

So I took that fucking perfume
And smashed it on the ground
I’m still calling her name
But she just won’t make a sound
If I’d just come home
She might have been saved
Instead I’m on my knees, wailing
Holding roses for her grave.
